NDC CONDUCTED EXERCISE ‘MASTER MIND’

The NDC successfully conducted its’ flagship exercise ‘𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱’ from 19 to 21 Aug 2026.

During the exercise, course participants applied knowledge that they gained from previous modules to analyse given scenarios and develop a comprehensive ‘𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿’. A structured approach that examined; fundamentals, practical aspects, impacts, and implications, formulated evidence-based recommendations to address timely important situations. Three groups discussed the matters based on:

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟬𝟭 - Revitalizing Sri Lanka’s Tourism Industry

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟬𝟮 - The Great Disruption: Harnessing the Gen-Z Wave amidst Hyper Connectivity and Economic Precarity

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟬𝟯 - The Silent Drain: Gender Imbalance and Human Resource Depletion as Threats to National Security

The program was enriched by representation from the Ministries of: Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism, Finance, Planning & Economic Development, Education, Higher Education & Vocational Education, Health & Mass Media; Sports & Youth Affairs; and Labour, as well as the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute, and Lanka Rating Agency Ltd.

The successful completion of the exercise reflects NDC’s commitment to developing strategic leaders capable of addressing emerging national security challenges in complex global environment.
