NDC HOSTS THE UNITED NATIONS RESIDENT COORDINATOR IN SL AT THE ‘DINERS’ CLUB’

His Excellency Marc-André Franche, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in SL, honoured NDC with his gracious presence as the Guest Speaker at the ‘Diners’ Club’ held on 2^nd April 2026. Commandant and Spouse welcomed His Excellency and Spouse upon arrival. During the introductory speech, Commandant emphasized the significance of UN Resident Coordinator’s visit to NDC and thanks for the acceptance of invitation

The guest speaker delivered an insightful speech on the theme of ‘𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.’ He elaborated on the history, role, and core purpose of the United Nations, while underscoring the valuable contributions made by Sri Lanka to global peacekeeping efforts.
