ADDRESS BY THE COMMANDER OF SRI LANKA NAVY

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral BAKSP Banagoda RSP USP ndc psc MMaritimePol addressed the participants of NDC course number 04, on 3^rd November 2025. Commandant welcomed the Commander upon arrival and had a call-on prior to the address.

During the speech, Commander of the Navy elaborated on the Navy’s pivotal role in safeguarding the nations’ and ensuring maritime security. He further explained the Navy’s vision for 2030. Vice Admiral Banagoda, a distinguished alumnus of the National Defence College Sri Lanka, from the NS&SS Course number 1, year 2022. To give recognition for his exemplary achievement, the ‘Hall of Fame’ of Vice Admiral Banagoda was ceremonially unveiled during the occasion.

The event provided an opportunity for the course participants, to have an informal interaction with the Commander of Navy, prior to the termination.
