On 20th March 2025, Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, made an official visit to the NDC. First time a high caliber Senior Military Officer from USA pay a visit to a military training institution in Sri Lanka, for recent history. During his address he highlighted the geostrategic importance and complex security challenges of the Indo-Pacific region and emphasized the value of collaborative efforts to address these challenges.

This visit marked a significant milestone for NDC, as it provided a unique opportunity for the staff of NDC and Course Participants to interact with a high-profile military officer from the U.S Military. The interaction fostered a deeper understanding of the strategic priorities and security concerns in the Indo-Pacific Region, underscoring the value of international cooperation and dialogue.
