The newly appointed commandant officially assumed office

Major General Chamila Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG MSc(NS & SS) assumed duties as the third Commandant of National Defence College on 14 January 2025. Being an alumnus of NS & SS Course Number 1, his appointment marks a significant milestone in the history of NDC, as it continues its legacy and pride of producing top-tier military leaders.

New Commandant was warmly welcomed and received by the Secretary, Members of the Faculty and Officers of permanent staff of NDC. Formalities of assuming duties were lined up with; religious observance followed by signing of documents. After assume duties Commandant addressed minor staff at the tea trailed to a discussion guiding officers on directives, responsibilities and rules to follow.
