The NDC welcomes the new year

The National Defence College celebrated the commencement of the new year on 1st January 2025 with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony. This important event marked a fresh beginning for the institution and set the tone for the year ahead. The Secretary of the National Defence College attended the ceremony, along with the staff members, who gathered in unity to honour the national flag and embraced the spirit of patriotism by reciting the national anthem. They also ensured their commitment to duties by reading the oath of the public servants in line with “Clean Sri Lanka Project”. It was a moment to reflect on the past year's achievements and look forward to new goals and challenges.

The Secretary, along with all attendees, paid tribute to the nation's values and reaffirmed their collective mission to strengthen national security. This flag- hoisting ceremony not only marked the beginning of the new year but also reinforced the shared sense of purpose and responsibility among the members of the National Defence College community.
