The National Defence College holds the Third Diners’ Club

The third Diners' Club event of the National Defence College was held on 3 July 2024 to enhance the knowledge base of course participants of NS&SS Course 3/2024 on science and technology. Senior Professor Veranja Karunaratne, the Vice Chancellor of SLTC Research University and Chairman of the National Science and Technology Commission graced the event as the esteemed guest speaker, centred on the compelling theme of 'Advanced Technologies and their Applications'. Professor Karunaratne illuminated the audience with profound insights into the transformative impact of cutting-edge technologies across diverse industries, fostering a deeper understanding of their practical implications.

Professor Pradeep Kalansuriya from Kotelawala Defence University, Professor Dilushan R Jayasundara from the University of Colombo, Dr. Nuwan de Silva, a Senior Scientist at the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology and Mr. Chathura Kotagama, the Chief Strategy Officer at SLTC Research University also participated in the event as invitees contributing their expertise and strategic perspectives. The event included an interactive session which was a pivotal platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and forward-thinking, exploring the evolving landscape of technology both locally and globally.
