Scholars from the US deliver lectures at NDC

Distinguished scholars Dr. Barak Salmoni, Mr. Maxwell Kelly, Mr. Oscar De Soto, and Mr. Matthew B. Ashley recently graced the National Defence College of Sri Lanka, bringing their expertise to enrich the NS&SS course 03/2024 in aligning with ‘Science and Technology’ study module.

Over two enlightening days, they conducted comprehensive lectures focusing on pressing contemporary issues. The first lecture delved into the 'Role of Science and Technology and its Impact on War and Peace,' illuminating the transformative influence of advancements in science and technology on modern conflict and peacebuilding efforts. The second lecture explored the 'Global Context on Cyber Threat in Terms of Cyber Security and Challenges,' offering invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of cyber threats and the critical importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding national and global interests.
