Deputy Chief of Staff of the Land Forces of the Russian federation visits the National Defence College

The National Defence College Sri Lanka warmly welcomed Major General Sviridov Vladimir, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Land Forces of the Russian Federation, along with a delegation of four members and the Russian Defence Attaché on 24 April 2024. This visit marked a significant step in enhancing cooperation on Professional Military Education (PME) and broadening defence relations between Russia and Sri Lanka. The Senior Officer addressed the NDC Course Participants and explained exploring opportunities for collaboration laying the groundwork for deeper engagement and mutual benefits for countries like Sri Lanka.

The event marked as a significant important in the NDC as the visitor is a very high-profile Senior Military Officer from the Russian Federation.
