United States Air War College Delegation Engages with NDC a day of Insightful Exchange

Today, on the 6th of March 2024, the National Defence College welcomed a distinguished delegation from the United States Air War College, comprising 13 officers and staff with the Assistant Defence Attaché of the US Embassy in Sri Lanka. The deligation was led by the Col Adam Hilburgh, and engaged in a series of enriching interactions aimed at fostering mutual understanding and collaboration.

The day commenced with a cordial call-on with the Commandant, followed by an insightful introductory presentation, offering a glimpse into the inception, course curriculum and the functions of the NDC. Dr. Harinda Vidanage, Head of the Department of Strategic Studies at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, captivated the audience with a brief lecture on Sri Lanka’s role in the Indian Ocean Region and Indo-Pacific. A dynamic panel discussion ensued, exploring pertinent questions.

An interactive session with NDC course participants facilitated vibrant exchanges of ideas, fostering enduring connections. With hearts full of gratitude and minds enriched, the delegation departed, leaving behind a legacy of friendship and shared insights.
