The Graduation Ceremony of The National Defence College Course Number 02 Concludes in a Successful Note

The Graduation Ceremony for the second batch of the National Security and Strategic Studies Course at the National Defence College Sri Lanka took place on November 21, 2023, at the Eagles' Lakeside Banquet & Convention Hall in Attidiya. The event was graced by Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, who served as the Chief Guest.

In addition to the esteemed Chief Guest, notable attendees included the Chief of Staff to the President and National Security Advisor, Mr. Sagala Ratnayake, the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, Former Service Commanders, Commanders of the Tri-Services, the Inspector General of Police, Defence Attaches, Members of the Academia, and other distinguished invitees, all of whom added vibrancy and glamour to the occasion.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of the 46-week course, attended by a total of 36 senior officers from the Tri-Services and the Police. The graduating officers comprised one Major General and 14 Brigadiers from the Sri Lanka Army, 8 Commodores from the Sri Lanka Navy, 7 Air Commodores from the Sri Lanka Air Force, and 6 Senior Superintendents of Police from the Sri Lanka Police.
