Course Participants of NDC Visits Trincomalee

The course participants of the NDC course number 2 were given an opportunity to visit the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee as part of their course curriculum from April 19 to April 22, 2023. During this study tour, the course participants were taken on various educational and interactive sessions while having an excursion to the Naval Area.

During three days visit, NDC delegation accommodated in Eastern Naval Command and Senior officers had valuable opportunity to interact with senior government officials and officers of the Eastern Naval Area and acquire first-hand information about the current security situation in the area. At Eastern Naval Command Headquarters, the course participants were enlightened on the Eastern Naval command role, and task. Addition to that the delegation had the opportunity to visit Ship Building yard and Workshops followed by onboard visit to Offshore Patrol Vessel SLNS Sayura. During the course for tour course participants visited Naval Museum, Pigeon Island, Seruwawila temple and School of Artillery Gun Park and Artillery Preservation Centre at Minneriya.
