Study Visit to National Museum and National Archives by NDC Course No: 2/2023

As a part of the Academic curriculum, local visits are arranged to locations of historical value to get wider exposure and first-hand knowledge, and understanding of the impact, prospects and key activities of the project or institute.

Accordingly, the faculty of NDC and the participants of NDC Course No: 02 paid a visit to the Colombo National Museum and National Archives on 14th March 2023.

The NDC Delegation was welcomed at the entrance to the National Museum by Mrs Sanjeewani Vidyarathne the education promoting officer. Then, history and functions of the same were briefed.

As the second event, delegation visited the National Archives. The delegation was welcomed by Mrs Dilini Liyanage, Assistant Director of Training at the entrance to the National Archives. Further, a comprehensive briefing on its history and function was conducted at the main auditorium where the Director General of Archives Dr Nadeera Rupesinghe and Director of administration Mr Dilum Dayarathna also attended.
