Print exhibition organized by the Awarelogue Initiative at NDC in view of the 75th independence celebrated in 2023

The independence print exhibition organized by the Awarelogue Initiative in view of the 75th independence anniversary of Sri Lanka was held on 08 February 2023 (Today) at the Library of the NDC.

The independence print exhibition draws from many newspapers found in the L. S. W. Pathirathne Collection. An enthusiastic collector of newspapers connected with key events in the initial years of independence, his efforts have resulted in a collection that provides much insight into a long-gone era. Curated by Dr George I. H. Cooke, Initiator of the Awarelogue Initiative, this exhibition highlights some of the key aspects connected with independence.

Dr George I. H. Cooke elucidated the greatness of head of states and the Sri Lankan foreign policy initiatives at the time of independence. The Commandant NDC, Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc MSc, Faculty, Course Participants and the Staff witnessed the exhibition.
