NDC Pinning Ceremony

An official acronym was introduced to “ndc” and “ndu” qualified Sri Lankan Officers for the first time at the National Defence College today (15 September 2022).

The Commandant Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc MSc was adorned with the first insignia by the Major General Mahendra Fernando WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc – Senior Directing Staff (Army) at the NDC auditorium. The permanent Staff of the NDC and the Student body of the NDC Course No.01 hosted this historical occasion. All the other Officers who qualified with “ndc” or “ndu” were also adorned with insignias by the Commandant at the event.
