Brig. Hiran Halangode GW (Retd) visits National Defence College

A team comprising Brig Hiran Halangode GW (Retd) visited NDC on 26 August 2022. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Commandant, Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc MSc.

“VOLUNTEERS FROM CEYLON” the book regarding Ceylon Soldiers who served in the British and Commonwealth Forces during World War I and World War II had been presented to the Commandant by Brig Halangode during the visit. Senior Officers of the NDC and the Course participants of NDC Course No: 01 took part in the event. The facilities have been arranged to purchase the book which was the result of a team effort of Brig. Hiran Halangode GW (Retd), Wg Cdr (Dr.) Narme Wickremasinghe (Retd) SLAF, Major Anton Edema (Retd) SLLI SLA, Group Captain Kumar Kirinde (Retd) SLAF, Mr. Quintus Andradi (Retd) SLN, Mr Sidath Abewickrama Military History and Researcher.

Before leaving the NDC, they expressed best wishes toward the college and donated a set of publications for the College library.
