The Former Foreign Secretary HMGS Palihakkara Delivers a Lecture at NDC

Ambassador HMGS Palihakkara was invited to deliver a lecture at the National Defence College on Tuesday, 31 May 2022.

Ambassador HMGS Palihakkara previously served as Sri Lanka Ambassador and Permanent Representative to United Nations in Geneva and the Leader of Sri Lanka Delegation to the UN Human Rights Commission and the Conference on Disarmament, the UN multilateral negotiating body on international arms control and security matters, (1997-2000). He shared his perspectives on the UN approaches to develop strategies and policies of Global Governance with the audience of NDC Course No 01 comprised senior officers of the Armed Forces and Police.

Ambassador HMGS Palihakkara was welcomed by the Commandant Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc MSc and was presented with a memento as a token of appreciation at the end of the lecture.

The Ambassador also endorsed his compliments in the Visitors’ Book in marking his visit to the NDC.
