National Defence College Library

The NDC library is the gateway to the world of research for all course participants, faculty and staff. It plays an important role in promoting academic excellence. The library’s current collection is designed to support the essential teaching and research missions of the college. The library seeks to enhance an intellectual environment within the college that encourages critical thinking while providing an atmosphere that is both informal and comfortable. Centrally air-conditioned library is Wi-Fi enabled and fully automated with user-friendly library services.

As the nerve center for all college studies, the NDC library enables access to various e-resources, databases and national and international digital journals/magazines. The library owns Aggregator Software to access the databases, e-book, e-journals within and outside NDC. The library staff works directly with the entire NDC community in order to enhance the educational process and assist the discovery, use and sharing of vital information.

As a part of the long standing mutual defence cooperation between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan donated a fully furnished library worth LKR 12 million to NDC.
