Foreign Minister delivers a lecture at NDC

Hon. Prof. GL Peiris, the Foreign Minister visited National Defence College to deliver a lecture on Thursday, 10 February 2022.

The Hon. Minister delivered his lecture on the theme of “The Armed Forces, Human Rights Law and Geneva Process" to the participants of the NDC Course No. 01 which comprises of Senior Officers of Tri-Services and Police. Hon Minister shared his perspectives on how the Armed Forces should conduct in compliance with the Human Rights Laws and other ethical obligations. The informative and educative speech was followed by a very stimulating Q&A session.

Hon Minister was received at the College by the Commandant, Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc and was presented with a memento as a token of appreciation at the end of the lecture.

The Minister also endorsed his compliments in the Visitors’ Book in marking his visit to the NDC.
